School Choir

The St. Michael the Archangel School Choir is always seeking new members, Grade 3 thru 8, that are passionate and excited about serving our Lord by singing. They will sing during school masses, weekend masses, special celebrations, and other festivals such as the Overlea Tree Lighting. As well, there are opportunities to sing solo for reflecitve meditative pieces so to inspire the spirit of Christ in all. No audition is necessary and the ability to read music is not a necessity; only the dedication to rehearsing and serving the Lord is required.

Rehearsals are held on Wednesday afternoons from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

If interested please contact: Mr. W. Nicholas Zurowski, Director of St. Michael School Choir at nzurowski@smoverlea.org or nzurowski@sij.org.

We have a representative from the Lego robotics company who comes into the school after school to provide the Lego club for students who are interested. The is a nominal fee to cover materials for these clubs.

Girls & Boys Scout Programs

Scouting programs are available for both boys and girls at a variety of age levels to include Daisy, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassador Girl Scouts as well as Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturing.

The focus in our scouting programs encompasses the values, skills and social activities that scouting is known for. It also goes beyond that and reflects our Catholic identity by involving our scouts in religious camping/retreat experiences and Catholic religious awards. The scouting programs offer lifelong lessons, friendships, experiences, and skills while enhancing our faith through growth in the knowledge of our Catholic faith and service to the parish and community.
